SUMMARY: sulog problem

I asked:

I have an Alphaserver ES40 running Digital Unix 4.0g.
The problem is that the file sulog doesn't exist and the use of the su command is been logged only to syslog's auth.log.
How can i get this in a sulog file?

The answers were:


1- 

touch /var/adm/sulog
but don't forget
chmod 600 /var/adm/sulog so no one else has access apart
from root

* I did this ut it does not work.

2-
su is typically logged with  the sia mechanism into /var/adm/sialog

3-
look for a 3rd party or freeware su command that
does what you want

4-
make ascript runing in
batch mode to inspect the auth.log
and send the output to a file

cat
/var/adm/syslog.dated/auth.log|grep "su: " >>/var/adm/syslog.dated/sulog
