best ES47 tape option

I am purchasing two ES47 servers from HP financial, to run Tru64 5.1B, probably 5.1B-4.

There looks to be no true internal tape drive option, so any one I choose will have to be the cabled rack enclosure.  My question is, which tape technology/size/speed/etc is the easiest for T645.1B-4?  I want whatever technology is as close to plug-and-play as possible, where once plugged in, I can scan the bus, and it's in the hwmgr database with the correct drivers.  No hacking mtab files, installing one off patches, or NDHs , etc.

The quickspecs list a slew of DAT, SDLT, and LTO drives, but I'm sure only a handful of them are ready to go.
