install new vga cards

Dear Managers

I have a legacy Compaq workstation which has tru64 unix v.4, we have proble=
m in display cards (2 display PCI cards), I tried to change one of them wit=
h a typical card, the screen connected was displaying during boot but becam=
e blank on X windows, the other screen ( with old card) was running X windo=
ws, any help to run X windows on the replaced card?
