KZPEA + AS1200/AS4100 firmware

Esteemed managers:

I would really, really like to use this adapter:

in either the AS1200, the AS4100, or both. The firmware on my AS1200 is V6.0-4
and on the AS4100 it's V6.1-1. Based on the above linked PDF, is this just _not_
going to work with my firmware versions? Would the machines not take this
adapter? I am not going to be running TruCluster on them.
