Yucca nana

I'm sorry that I'm not a frequent writer, but I do look thru the digest everyday though, and when I have time and I have anything to add I will do so!

Well normally germination rate for Yucca nana is 60%, I can't recall in how many days though, I usually never keep the sowing post moist for more than 3 weeks, so I guess it's less than this. If the temperature is above 30-35C  Yucca seeds usually die by rot if kept too moist! It's much better to keep the temperature from 17C to 25C (day-night), an occasionally 30C doesn't harm the seed.

It's true that the Type Location of Yucca nana is a secret to avoid exploiting and poaching, but it's already an "old" plant in cultivation it was first mentioned in the literature as early as 1985 (HAENNI, R, (1985), Cact. & Succ. Jour. Amer. Vol. 57 (4): 170-172. (as Yucca sp.)) So plants or seeds collected 17 years ago can be used to propagate this fine little species without collecting seeds in habitat.  Since the seeds is with out any habitat data or field #, it's possible that the seeds isn't collected in habitat,

I had ordered 1000 Yucca nana seeds, but I only got 100. I have not seen the seeds yet, as they are at my girlfriend place (470 km away!), but when I see the seeds next weekend, I probably can tell if they are Yucca nana seeds or not!
