I agree he must have been prolific and although my knowledge of
Escheveria is limited, I know he did make hybrids in that group. I would
love to see your pictures and see what is floating around under these
names. I, too, have plants carrying the name that look very different
than those previously pictured. But considering the confusions of the
past in this group, it is hardly surprising. Best regards,
