Dear Yale,

Blame it on myopia. The treatment of the succulent Monocots is unsatisfactory in many ways.

It was probably overlooked because the genus occurs primarily in Tropical Africa not South Africa. Ironically, the type species Drimiopsis maculata is South African.

As I mentioned in my review, several genera of Hyacinthaceae and Amaryllidaceae were overlooked.
