Agave in Souhern Florida

The "leaves"  are not curved inwards and are not 
spined/spiked/serrated along the edges.  They are very straight and 
flat.  I would even have guessed that this plant is a yucca, but this 
is definately not the case when looking at large plants, and when the 
flower spike bears it's seed and offshoots. Maybe this will help 
refine the taxonomical suggestions posted? 
What is the proper way to name the "leaves" on an agave or yucca?
