yes, this is the first idea I had too: it is Y. gloriosa. But there
are no terminal spines and rather more "fleshy" and very flexible
leaves. The size is approx. 4-5m with leaves to 20cm broad. I do not
have closeups or flower pictures as this is a photo from a travel to
Portugal. I thought it is Mcdougalii aledegly the largest specie,
