Re: Irish Book/Agave multifilifera

I can certainly appreciate your confusion, but the plant in our book was
photographed at the Huntington Botanical Garden and I feel pretty confident of
the identification. I think the problem may be age. These plants exhibit their
trunk slowly over many years, and the ones at the Huntington are quite old.
Some may be as much as 40 years there. And, it certainly could put you in mind
of a yucca when it is younger, with all those thing, filamentous leaves. I hope
