Hi Tom,

My experience has been that many agaves do fine in whatever kind of
soil you place them in, with the exception of some species which do not
seem to tolerate staying wet very long, such as A.parviflora and
A.toumeyana, which seem to require a very well draining soil mix (at
least in Louisiana).
