A little rainy here in Knocksville today, so I decided I would have some fun and take a few closeups of a variegated Sansevieria leaf that was specifically hybridized for the production of fiber by the USDA back in the 'whenever it was days'. Before the man-made fibers such as nylon and rayon, plant fibers provided the raw materials for the production of rope.
The leaves of S. 'Florida H-13' easily reach 7 feet long, but in my pot and climate 4-5 feet long would be max. I would classify this plant as a collector plant, not for indoor culture. PICTURES SHOULD APPEAR AS THUMBNAILS BELOW.
