I of course know NOTHING about this but I use a program called 
Paintshop pro and generally by reducing size and using a setting to 
make a jpeg file I get my pix down to thirty thousand  somethings.

from whom did you get the message that the thing was too large, was 
it from your ISP, or yahoogroups or what?
because I have on occasion sent a lot of photos in one post. Yahoo 
groups recently underwent a mysterious change. maybe I will go look 
for a big picture and see if I can attach it, it probably will NOT be 
of a Sansevieria, i will look for something BIG in terms of you know 
what I mean, gimme a sec
