where I live in Perris, one can find Jewish foods 
in the  hidden corner section of the supermarket 
with fermented fish sauce (nam pla) and odd 
Armenian delicacies.  If only the Jews had not 
worshipped idols and gotten thrown out of Israel, 
which happened TWICE, we would not have this 
problem. as it is I live only about forty miles 
from major Jewish populations but for a grocery drive, this is too much.

However this is a serious suggestion. If you NEED 
a Jew, look up Chabad in google and find yourself 
in a place where you can locate Chabad centers in 
your zip code and find a STUDENT. It has been my 
experience that Jews are generous with this 
information and you could probably get decent 
translations from a teenager, provided you had a 
Chabadnik child where Yiddish was still spoken in the home.

Other less observant Jews of this generation may not remember Yiddish.

Or you could call the local university and find a 
student of german and offer him or her a few bux to do this!

I actually had myself convinced I actually 
understood conversational german at one time,from 
clawing through botanical texts.  This is only 
somewhat true, I know what leaves are and what 
colour and shape they are and things like that, 
but this is not like having a conversation.

I found on YouTube a wonderful rendering of My Yiddishe Mama by Billie Holiday.
Also the jazz pianist, Willie The Lion Smith, a 
black man, was Jewish. We are everywhere, you 
just gotta know where to look. I have not looked 
at this material provided by Lord John, Keeper of 
the Royal Sansevieria library, because my 
computer is doing a scan for malware and I cannot 
have the browser open, or else I would tell you 
if I understand this,I am very eager to see it,actually.
