We've been watching the Dr. Who marathon all day as its the only saving grace….this log cabin is a bit drafty but once we redid the illegal duct work for the Wood Furnace to the basement things are far much better. New Years for me is equivalent to Winter Solstice….I gave up New Years almost the same time I gave up Christmas over a decade ago…

Feasting on leftover Smoked Pork Tenderloin and Guacamole…we expect snow again tomorrow but nothing to account for much…

but at least things will be open again and perhaps we can get someone to come sand the driveway so we don't take our lives in hand on the 2-4 inches of glare ice….all in all it's nice being laid off for the winter …at least now that the 'holiday' is over…now I just have to listen to friends incessant complaints about how much they spent and what they got instead of what they 'wanted'….oh the frailties of humanity..
