I do have this plant, and my clone has no channels or grooves which I think shows in the attached picture. This species, according to J. Chahinian in his latest book might show a "round, shallow channel". Chahinian also says the leaves show "several longitudinal deeply impressed lines", but that could come from specimens that are dry. I know there is a drawing of it with a broken leaf. the leaves are cylindrical and do not fan at all, they are slightly wiggly but almost entirely vertical. hermine
