Hello MIke and thanks, I appreciate the friendly atmosphere of the group. The city I live in is named Khanty-Mansiysk, it is located right in the middle of the West Siberian lowlands. Sansevierias are very rarely offered in local plant stores. It's usually S. tr. Laurentii from holland nurseries If any. That's why I buy sans wherever I can being on vacation or on business trips. There is also a possibility to exchange or buy from sansevieria collectors living in other cities, Moscow or S-Petersburg most often, with delivery by post. Fortunately sansevierias are hardy plants and can survive long trip.
I've been collecting sansevierias for three years and my collection numbers about 80 plants. I have some photos on my home PC and will be glad to share.
Some pictures of Khanty-Mansiysk (taken from our local administration web-site www.admhmao.ru http://www.admhmao.ru) I'll upload in the "Photos" folder in a moment (failed to attach them to this message).
Do they sell a variety of sans in Knoxville?
