According to "The Splendid Sansevieria" by J. Chahinian, there seems to be question whether or not the subject plant is a Sansevieria. But whatever it is, it was identified over 100 years ago as a Sansevieria, and it did have carmine red flowers. The plant was found in Madagascar which claims a number of very unusual plants and animals.

YEAH BUT i COULD BE wrong! THIS IS JUST HOW i FEEL ABOUT THE PLANT!

I am not pleased with some of the stuff which passes for taxonomy but
I am not a taxonomist, just an observant person.
