Exactly so, Hermine. That is why I used the past tense of the verb 'to have'. My plant died several years ago and I was sorry about that. But still, I would classify it as sort of a 'weedy' species - especially for those with limited space, like me. I would much rather have one nice trifasciata 'Lillian True', than a pot full of longiflora.

that is an especially nice one being variegated. I find that it looks a great deal like MANY OTHER SANSEVIERIAS.
