You mention the word  "tropical" in association with Sansevierias which points up something I was reading a while ago that shows the diversity of this genus. My article was stating that the flat leafed sansevierias (like the trifasciatas, masonianas, etc) seem to range in the tropical regions (give or take), while the more desert like environments are home to the round-leafed varieties with the round leaves helping to conserve moisture. These things are interesting to me.

I had lush and perfect plants like this in a propagation greenhouse we called "Malaria". Also the fact that the plants are photographed in their glorious environment helps, in architectural renderings this is called "entourage" and it provides the lovely stage setting, instead of the background TV and racks and lighting. There there, you grow GORGEOUS plants which I have seen.
