Sounds delicious! I will be checking my local HD store for these, but I don't hold out much hope. For some time now these stores have been stocking a Futura form of the plant you describe (looks like a compacta with much wider leaves), but I have never seen the standard size trifasciata like you described. What it is is something very like Lilian True, EXCEPT the leaves on the mature plants are MUCH MUCH WIDER and there is a very slight faint and infrequent cross banding on the deep black/green of the leaf. the extreme wideness of the leaf is very KILLER. This is a freshly dug and potted five gallon pot. as soon as it is more like real spring I will be dividing this up and growing them separately with an eye towards getting the BEST ONES. I am fairly hysterical over this.
