thank you to all who have responded. this was one of those PERFECT=20
plants, the kind you want to pinch its cheeks, but after watering it=20
it plumped up encouragingly.I can see how it will outgrow the scabby=20
stuff on it. thank you for your calming response.
I would never blame Roger for doing me a favour, and I suspect he=20
will now have more care when moving plants from one place to another.=20
this cutie has never been in more than half-shade, and we just had a=20
nuclear oven of the past weeks.

on the other hand the var Sans grandis has gone on to produce a=20
degree of variegation SO STAGGERING that I may take an actual picture of it=
.

Mike, that plant you sent to me has made two entire children, all in=20
the green and blue striped persuasion. I will be cutting them off=20
because I believe the gold striped mother is off on a toot.
