Beautiful pic! You might as well repot now when it's in the growing stage.
Cut the plastic pot with sharp shears to protect the new growth. Just don't
go too big on the new pot so that it won't get rot. That's what I would do,
especially since you're going to need to do that sooner or later anyway.
