Wow! Such a beautiful pot of variegated masonianas! One of these days you a=
re going to want to divide this whole clump into several pots, however I wo=
uld be tempted to just wait until next spring. You can ease the tension wit=
h a slit of the pot if you like. Meanwhile, nothing bad would be expected t=
o happen.
The leaf that is connected to the bulging rhizome appears to be well up and=
out to me. I don't necessarily see a connection with the large white/yello=
w leaf and the bulge. The large white leaf is a fragile thing, so you are r=
ight to be concerned. Even a bruise can easily become an ugly brown spot. W=
hen you decide to depot and divide, wash off the soil with care and be mind=
ful of its fragility. By all means I would keep the keep the white leaf wit=
h its mother leaf and rhizome from whence it derives nutrition.=20

Well, I am so amazed to have this beautiful white leaf growing by leaps and=
bounds. The problem is, it looks like the pot is ready to crack open. Th=
e question is whether to just wait and see, or go ahead and repot. I am rea=
lly afraid of injuring the new growth, esp. the white leaf. What to do?
