Re: New Car-Free development website

Thanks for contacting us! We are overhauling the Carfree City USA website, 
and some of the functions have been out of service. E-mail should now work,

I recall occasional newspaper stories regarding the Hayward freeway battle, 
but I did not realize it had evolved into a carfree development proposal. I 
have begun reviewing your website and can't tell you how thrilled I and 
others at CFCUSA are to see a development proposal that looks as if we had 
written it ourselves! We are particularly impressed by the level of detail 
you have reached in your site design, pro-forma calculations, and cost 
spreadsheets. Your site has a wealth of information we have only barely 
started to mine...

We definitely would like to support the Quarry Village project. At a 
minimum, we can feature a story and links on our website, spread the word 
among various carfree on-line discussion groups, and talk it up among 
friends and local progressives. We could help you win support from TALC, 
the Sierra Club and other regional groups with whom we have relationships, 
if that would be helpful.

I would like to suggest that we get together in Hayward for a site visit 
and to discuss design and financing issues. I am in-town and available this 
weekend, if there's a time that would work for you. I could also come on a 
weekday, if necessary. David Ceaser might also like to attend
