lurking and interested

just want you to know that i remain very interested in the goals and 
discussions of this group. really inspiring how a powerful direction 
seems to have been established with only a few contributors 
participating. i do hope to be more active. 

BTW, we had a nice little victory here in Palo Alto last night when 
my neighborhood group was able to convince the city council to 
further extend an emergency ordinace protecting ground floor retail 
from encroachment by office space. the ordinace comes up for vote on 
a permanant status in mid-April. so that's where some of my time is 
going. this kind of thing is important to preserve what little we 
have in the way of neighborhood service businesses. our website is at
