The smart city radio show could come in handy to us in
the US.

who I was pointed to from an article in "the next
american city" magazine.

The new urbanists are doing a lot of the heavy lifting
(getting zoning practices changed) that would be
necessary for any decent US Carfree city to be built.

themselves the next generation of new urbanism. One
guy on that list has graduated with an MBA in
commercial real estate from UNC with the goal of
focusing on financing new urbanist developments.
