Copenhagenize hits a bull’s-eye with this article on misguided bike lane placements along quiet, meandering back streets, ignoring that city dwellers need to reach the same destinations whether they are on bikes, on foot, in cars, or riding transit.

The US is particularly adept at putting in bike lanes to nowhere and then wondering why they aren’t used. Of course, that practice may be a subtle way of reinforcing the structural mandate to drive everywhere….
