World Carfree Day + PARK(ing) Day -- Your stories please !

Greetings Carfree Networkers,

Today would be a great day to post your World Carfree Day plans on the
World Carfree Network Wiki page if you haven't already --

I have been responding to media-inquiries about World Carfree Day and
the Wiki page has been very useful in keeping me informed about what
activities are planned around the continent and the world. I expect
some more phone calls tomorrow, and it would be helpful to have even
more information to share with reporters.

In the United States, Washington D.C. seems to have the most ambitious
activities planned, including running $150,000 worth of radio and bus
and paper ads throughout the region to promote it. Some highlights

Many other cities in the U.S, including Boston, New York and San
Francisco have focused their energies promoting on Park(ing) Day on
September 19th -- http://www.parkingday.org/.
