Hi All, I would suggest something like the World Carfree Network European gathering which we had in Tabor, Czech Republic in 2006. At that event there were some presentations but also a lot more workshops and opportunities for people to work together in smaller groups on ideas and projects. It was a much more informal event than the Towards Carfree Cities conferences, but it had great energy. Some of the programme was decided in advance but there were also plenty of slots free which were filled as the week went on by people who wanted to give a presentation or run a workshop on themes of interest. We could even use the same venue, the Cesta cultural centre in Tabor, if that is available. It was a very good venue, in a nice place, and we were also able to stay there for very low cost. For 2009 at this point I would suggest a two-day event with the AGM as the second day, rather than a full-fledged conference. With an event of that type, it becomes very important for it to be centrally located in Europe, so I would suggest Prague for reasons of practicality.
