Re: alternatives to TCC - comments by Silvia + Markus

Hi all,

see below the comment from Silvia to both Plan B proposals from SC. 
(I informed her and a few other member orgs, who are not (yet) in our list here, about the latest TCC discussion.)

My own opinion is: Like Silvia, I prefer the conference (Var. 2), but would also agree with the Var 1 (3-4-day workshop).
Whatever will be choosen finally - I would try to come. More important is, to make it a good event, then both could be good.

P.S.: I just received a 2nd eMail by Silvia: she says, there is this conference from www.ecocitybuilders.org in Istanbul in December 09, so better try not to have a WCN event at the same time ...

  in my opinion it sounds more reasonable to choose the second proposal: mini-conference in Autumn.
  I think the first alternative, without enough time to prepare it, could end up in a kind of summer-camp, very nice to meet friends but without political success for WCN and without contents for the participants. 
  I personally would try to attend the meeting, either if option 1 or 2, although summer would be harder for me because of my job. In case I can attend, I would offer me to organize a workshop - perhaps about citizen participation in urban planning? I?m currently doing a couple of projects about it and it?s a very exciting theme.
