Hello all, Thanks to Agustin for the comment and Chris for replying. We certainly will be having some kind of 'pedestrianisation' action during the conference. There are several public squares in central York - most of which are already carfree most of the day. But there are some streets that are obvious candidates for becoming carfree permanently. One is called Fossgate, and the businesses there have had a campaign for a few years to have it permanently pedestrianised. The street was made carfree for the day on 22 September this year. It would be nice to work with them to support their campaign, although we would probably want to think beyond simply repeating the 22 September closure.
