I would like to highlight you a report from IEA (International Energy Agency) titled "Transport, Energy and CO2 -- Moving Towards Sustainability" of which you can find a free summary at http://www.iea.org/w/bookshop/b.aspx?new=10 This report seems to give relatively less importance to the role which could play modal shift to GHG reductions with respect to other "car-centric" means (e.g. petrol car efficiency, EV, biofuel engines, etc.), even though it does not justify this. It would be interesting to analyse this report in detail, and counteract the statements herein contained. Does any of you have a copy of the full report? Could WCN buy a copy and share it among members (the cost for pdf is 80 euro)?
