For World Carfree Network AGM: Quick, short proposal

Hi everyone,

Have a good conference this week.

Based on my understanding that WCN is in a very precarious financial 
state, and that as an entity with a physical location it has more than 
served its purpose, here are my suggestions for near and far future of WCN:

1 - Discontinue new applications for volunteers and funding, except 
where applicable below.

2 - Make Carbusters the youth and/or activist magazine of Global 
Alliance for EcoMobility. Probably only slight changes will be 
necessary. It will probably need to be online only. Also transfer some 
of Resource Center brand and operations. See www.ecomobility.org and 
talk to them as early as possible this week. Ideally assisted by someone 
from one of their members if one is in York. The fit it not perfect but 
there is no better, and they will appreciate the established product 
being added on to their relatively new and small operation. Keep some 
current WCN on editorial committee of magazine. If they will not 
consider it, have Steering Committee keep looking.

3 - Retain WCN Europe non-profit to continue Towards Carfree Cities 
series, but keep it in virtual sleep mode when not needed. Consider 
changing location where it is registered. End all other activities.

4 - Dissolve WCN, AB, SC etc. and WCN ICC after all current volunteer 
assignments run out and transfer of magazine and parts of Resource 
Center takes place.

5 - Declare Victory!
