The Towards Carfree Cities Conference took place in York last week, and was very successful in several respects.   Many members of UTSG were there as presenters and/or participants.  It is intended to put all the Powerpoint presentations on http://www.worldcarfree.net/conference/archive.php although as this is all done by volunteers, it may take a little
 while.

One of the workshops, which I facilitated, aimed to bring together academics and other researchers working in fields related to carfree development and carfree living.  One outcome from that session was a JISCMail group for researchers in these fields.  If you are interested in joining this, please go to:  http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/carfree-research and choose the "Subscribe or Unsubscribe" option.
