Hi Joel and all,

Thanks to all for your comments, both on and offlist. I agree with the
suggestion that it might be wiser to go back to a simple text newsletter.
That would indeed be easier and take up less time, and I might be forced to
do that if there is no way to share the load. However, if we can get this t=
o
work smoothly and have more people to share in it, I think people prefer th=
e
visual enhancement. Also, we have discussed in the past the need to upgrade
the website, which could potentially happen together with improving the
whole set-up.

I am curious what people think about partnering with other organizations,
which I mentioned. The World Carfree Network certainly needs a boost at thi=
s
time. I am sure it got that in Mexico just recently, but elsewhere, little
is happening. What would people see as potential candidates? A stable
organization or institute which share our vision and would either like to
sponsor or give various kinds of human or other in-kind support. Or we coul=
d
go the grants route, but we need people dedicated to pursuing all relevant
funding. Any thoughts...?

Justin

ps: so far i have received a fair bit of well-wishing from otherwise
fully-engaged people (which I appreciate nonetheless) and one offer for a
limited amount of editing help. still no tech solution person. thanks, keep
it coming!
