Re: World Bicycle Forum - call for proposals

Hi Elly and all,

Nice to see the list used again, and good to have that info out! That
conference does sound interesting, and would be great of course if
carfree minded people would be able to attend that - especially as the
TCC conference did pass by Bogota in the past.

Here in Europe (not only Europe but gaining strength here) there is
also a very dynamic movement that is not exactly like the carfree
movement, but similar in spirit and also covers the field of mobility
- I'm talking about the degrowth movement, which just held a
conference in Leipzig, Germany and has an open call for the next one.
There is documentation of the conference:
http://leipzig.degrowth.org/en/ and also don't miss the degrowth
website http://www.degrowth.org/  There is also a transport working
group to degrowth. Several of us carfreers joined the degrowth
conference in Venice two years ago. If any of you remember Francois
Schneider, who was in Tabor, Cz for a carfree network meeting once, he
is very active there.
