Re: Letter to water factory, my suggestion

I was very happy to see that somebdy finally took
action, after all of us have been annoyed by the
plastic bottles during Ecotopia.

If you are so annoyed by the mistakes in the leter,
why don't you just send a better version?
I think any of us would be able to change the letter
according to our own interests.

I would rather not give more detailed suggestions
about how to implement a more environmental friendly
way of dealing with their water, i think, if they
really want to change something, they will consult an
expert and anyway already know pretty well themselves,
what's wrong and how it could be better.

Anyway, find below my suggestion of another version of
the letter.

Dear sir, 
 
 our organization has been part of the international
environmental camp
 Ecotopia-2003 which has taken place in August at
Shesory,  Kosiv region, Zakarpatska
 oblast.

 Thank you very much for the financial support of the 
music festival, which  allowed to acquaint the
Ecotopia participants with  Ukrainian ethnical music.

 We are sure that mineral water produced at your 
factory is very healthy,  but we are worried about the
use of plastic bottles.

During our time in Ukraine we were shocked by the
large amount of garbage, mainly waste of plastic
bottles, that is polluting the beautiful landscape in
many places.

According to the Ukrainian law in article 17, part 3
"About the waste" manufacturer must take direct part
in the process of gathering  and recycling their
waste.

Out of this reasons we ask you to:
·	Avoid the polluting plastic package and instead
consider e.g. glass bottles that can be reused,
·	offer a system to gather and recycle the package
used by you as long as you stick with the plastic
package,
·	take part in the public education about these waste
issues.

These measures would allow 
1.	to improve the environmental situation in the
Ukraine,
2.	to give a better environmental image of your
factory,   
3.	to support and introduce recycling systems in
general.
