Letter to water factory

  Hello, friends!
I would like to explain one more why we offer to apply to sponsor of
Ecotopia festival. We all have seen that this water was packed in
plastic. Today in Ukraine there are not firms produced the mineral
water, which gather and reuse their package, though the Ukrainian Law
obliges to do this. That's why we offer the Ecotopia's participants to
apply to this firm with the offering to use the glass and/or organize
recycling. Thank you Sapi for the help in compiling the letter. I
propose to them who wants send the letter use our letter (with Sapi
corrections) as a pattern, and send their own letters to

Dear sir, 
 
 our organization has been part of the international
environmental camp
 Ecotopia-2003 which has taken place in August at
Shesory,  Kosiv region, Zakarpatska
 oblast.

 Thank you very much for the financial support of the 
music festival, which  allowed to acquaint the
Ecotopia participants with  Ukrainian ethnical music.

 We are sure that mineral water produced at your 
factory is very healthy,  but we are worried about the
use of plastic bottles.

During our time in Ukraine we were shocked by the
large amount of garbage, mainly waste of plastic
bottles, that is polluting the beautiful landscape in
many places.

According to the Ukrainian law in article 17, part 3
"About the waste" manufacturer must take direct part
in the process of gathering  and recycling their
waste.

Out of this reasons we ask you to:
·       Avoid the polluting plastic package and instead
consider e.g. glass bottles that can be reused,
·       offer a system to gather and recycle the package
used by you as long as you stick with the plastic
package,
·       take part in the public education about these waste
issues.

These measures would allow 
1.      to improve the environmental situation in the
Ukraine,
2.      to give a better environmental image of your
factory,   
3.      to support and introduce recycling systems in
general.
