<><><><> This is astounding on so many fronts. Most notably the age of the people leading it. <<><><> It was on the radio today, Here and Now and an interview the project originators. They explained how it works that in five years they will remove 50% or all floating plastic waste. More about any cleanup effort: This project only removes less that 10% of all the plastic that enters marine ecosystems across the world. Billions of tons enter the oceans each year and only part of that amount can be accounted for plus there are micro plastic particles as opposed to the millions of tons they have located and can track. A lot of people see this as a serious problem, of great concern to humanity. I think the problem is a lot larger than most people think because it will affect harvest of fish for human consumption, many stocks of which are not being regenerated, i.e. see news about Phillipine fishermen. permaculture mailing list permaculture-rm8PX32fqvbMZ2x0e22RKNi2O/[email protected] subscribe/unsubscribe|user config|list info: https://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/permaculture
