*Appeal from the Mosquito Fleet*

In the early morning hours of November 5th, we took to the frigid waters of
the Columbia River under the cover of darkness, blocking the arrival of a
24,000 ton ship carrying pipe for construction of the Trans Mountain
Pipeline Expansion.

Joined by our allies, we shut down the Port of Vancouver, WA for the better
part of a day with a team of 25 kayakers, several small craft, and 7 brave
climbers who chained themselves to the pier, forcing the ship to
temporarily dock elsewhere, causing major subsequent delays for the
shipment.

*5 activists were eventually arrested.*

*This fight is far from over.*

That’s why we need your support so we can continue taking action. Please check
out our new Indiegogo page and consider making a donation today

.

Supporters get cool perks including Fleet swag!

As a grassroots volunteer network, we do what we can with very limited
resources, all of which go directly into our work. We put nearly all our
resources into making this action happen, and *we're currently stretched
too thin to do all we're determined to accomplish.*

In addition to paying for jail support expenses for the Patagonia 5
(arrested at our latest action), we need to repair boats, replace and
repair lost and damaged equipment, winterize the Fleet with cold-weather
safety gear, train new activists, and build our organizing capacity on the
ground for upcoming actions. And remember, your donation is tax-deductible!

The Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion is a blatant violation of indigenous
sovereignty, directly threatening coastal communities and the stability of
our global climate. If completed, the project would move an additional
590,000 barrels of tar sands crude every day, increasing oil tanker traffic
in the Salish Sea by 700% and emitting 15 billion metric tons of climate
pollution every year. Put simply: *TMX must be stopped.*

Help us reach and exceed our goal of $10,000

so
we can keep escalating the fight against Trans Mountain, and continue
working to build a powerful grassroots movement for climate justice. Thank
you so much for your support!
