You don't have to hope for a response, Roy. I consistently answer all
inquiries about this subject. I'm curious as to why you might consider my
site (I assume you're talking about whiteprivilege.com) to be "racially
charged" -- though honestly I'm not really sure what you even mean by that
phrase.

As for "every activity" being a "right or a privilege", you didn't get
that from me or my antiracism work. There are, after all, other kinds of
activity in addition to rights and privileges; obligations and duties,
social customs and mores, for example. As for your definitions of rights
and privileges, I don't agree with them; but even if I did, you can't
willy nilly define away this issue by trying to distinguish between rights
and privileges in this way. Or so it seems to me.

Now I *know* that you haven't read my site carefully -- in fact, this is
starting to smell like a form letter which you've sent to several sites.

First, in my definition of white privilege, I call it a species of social
privilege generally construed. It is uncontroversial that 1) there is such
a thing as a social privilege, and 2) during the formal period of racial
apartheid in the US, there were many racial privileges, including "owning
other human beings". So the burden, it seems to me, is for people who deny
there is such a thing as racial privilege to show *why there isn't any
more*, since it's uncontroversial that there were such privileges in the
(very recent) past.

But there are dozens and dozens of posts on WhitePrivilege.com which point
out *ongoing*, contemporary instances of racial privilege, including
"exemption from racial profiling", "exemption from racial bias in hiring
practices", "being judged by a jury of one's racial peers only", "having
representative government unfairly represent one's interests to the
detriment of the interests of others", and so on.

       If you are white, have you experienced special favors from

Now I *really* know you are a troll and haven't read my site, in which I
say repeatedly that I am a white person. You just haven't done your
homework at all. Shame!

Why this very strange qualification "the average white person in today's
political climate would understand"... That is strangely ad hoc. One of
the fundamental strategies of racial oppression is to make its payoffs
seem as natural as possible, which makes them very hard for the average
beneficiary to *see*, given the status quo political climate.

It's amazing that you have the temerity to suggest that I won't respond to
this message, when in fact it's unclear you've earned the right of a
response -- something you could have easily done by actually reading my
site and sending a message specifically to me, rather than this generic
troll you (appear to) have sent.
