From the photos I've looked at, it seems unlikely that the fire
extinguisher would have done much harm, since the cop was well
sheltered inside the jeep.

been trying to run over protesters at high speed?

Who's the political profiteer here, Mr Craig? You've made the claim,
how about backing it up? *Who* is behind the protesters and what
possible evidence is there to support the claim that they are
professional?

As for the G-8 governments being peaceful, I guess that depends on who
you are. Italy sure hasn't treated the protesters peacefully; there
have been dozens and dozens of beatings and brutal repressions in
Genoa, even setting aside this murder. Or don't those count?

I'm not sure any of the protesters violence is unjustified by
antecedent police violence, but *even if it is*, I'll take ad hoc, in
the moment violence over the kind of systematic brutality and
repression that results from the G-8's reckelss pursuit of
corporate-centric globalization.
