Absolutely!  My father-in-law spent a career with the Forest Service, and I 
was privileged to make the acquaintance of some smoke jumpers in a trip to 
Washington DC last year.  These are people who all too often put their 
lives on the line, and, perversely, are exempt from standards that the 
government (rightly) imposes on private business.
