 - particularly the 1st definition (i.e. I thought your message, as
opposed to you, was a troll)

In other words, I suspected you knew that a lot of people would disagree
with what you said and that furthermore you probably have a good idea of
what those people might think on the topic.  Yet you phrased your message
in a way as to suggest you didn't (unfortunately, I don't have them saved
or I'd quote) in order to provoke.
