Spam... apologies and solutions

We have obviously become the target of unsolicited commercial email in the
last couple of days.  On behalf of monkeyfist.com, I apologize for the
intrusion.  I suspect it's due to the address of this list being posted on
every page of our site, making it an easy target for address-harvesting
spambots.  You as subscribers have only seen the least piece of it, but the
list software catches and holds for approval at least 3 or 4 spams a day.

I have put into place the following measures to prevent spam from getting
out to the list as a whole:

- Any messages sent to more than 1 recipient (i.e., copied to another
address besides bonobos-4tgYbHuN1ulm/Kok3h1/[email protected]) will be held for approval

- Any messages from non-subscribers will be held for approval

This combination will ensure that non-subscribers will still have the
ability to post messages to the list; however, the difference is that all
messages from non-subscribers will now be held for approval by the list
administrator.  That gives me the opportunity to squash any spams before
they get sent out.

I think this should take care of the problem as far as you, the
subscribers, are concerned.
