Yes, and the US has kept him in power with sanctions, while refusing to 
support any of the many rebellions that have risen up against him. Do you 
know why that is?

It doesn't make any sense to say that I am "objectively" supporting 
Saddam Hussein by trying to find the means to restore dignity, human 
rights, and maybe even prosperity to Iraq.

On the other hand, by supporting a war (I assume that you are, by your 
tone), you *are* objectively condoning the deaths of hundreds of 
thousands of people in service of a replacement for Hussein that you know 
little or nothing about (nor does anyone, though it seems clear that it 
will be the option most likely to benefit the interests that run the US 
govn't).

What opinion polls were those, exactly? And would you mind citing the 
opinion polls in the US that were willing sacrifice thousands of lives to 
"face evil" in '38-39? What year did the US join the war to which you are 
referring?
