March 8 has been commemorated as International Women's Day 
for nearly 100 years to honor women in struggle here and 
worldwide and to build solidarity with them.  

The International Women's Day Committee invites you to an 
important Fightback Conference against poverty, racism and 
war on March 6.  Women have borne the brunt of capitalist 
economic oppression, especially a disproportionate number 
of women of color and poor women.  

This conference will celebrate women's resistance to this 
oppression and plan for the tasks ahead, including the 
March 20 anti-war, anti-occupation protest in New York 
City and the National Reproductive Rights demonstration in 
D.C. on April 25.

Two plenary sessions at the conference will feature an 
extraordinary panel of women in struggle around the world. 
 The two sets of workshops will discuss many topics, 
including how the current economic situation, budget 
cutbacks, war crisis and globalization are impacting upon 
women.  We invite you to bring your concerns. 

The two plenary sessions are open to everyone.  The 
workshops are for women only (inclusive of all who 
self-identify as women).
