CPP CONDEMN
BRUTAL KILLINGS OF 85 JOURNALISTS AND DEMANDS STERN ACTIONS AGAINST THE
CULPRITS says CPP Chairman Engineer Jameel A. Malik.






(ATTOCK - October 5, 2012)  Central Chairman Communist Party of Pakistan
(CPP) Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik demands the government to arrest the killers
of 85 innocent media men like Abdul Haq Baluch, Muhammad Khan Sasoli, Saleem
Shahzad, Hayat Ullah and all others, who were martyred in day light . 

CPP Chairman said it is very
surprising that the killer of American spy journalist Daniel Pearl were not
only arrested but severely punished whereas killers of 85 Pakistan journalists
are moving freely in the society. 

What a shameful act on the part of
Government, for arresting killer of spy foreigner journalist but no one cares
about the murderers of all those journalists, who are son of soil. He added.

CPP has deep concern over the fact
that the killers of the 85 journalists were neither arrested nor they had been
punished yet. It is very astonishing that killers of these media men, who makes
government answerable and accountable on its corruption before masses, are not
only threatened but murdered brutally, so that powerful people can achieve
their heinous objectives. Present government taking no step practically
regarding killing of journalists. 

 He said the ground relies are against the
government rhetorics that it supports the independence of media. Unfortunately,
in the last decade nearly 85 journalists were martyred, out of which 16-20
media persons were martyred reportedly by various agencies and terrorists,
while thirty five journalists perished in target killings, nearly 15
journalists kidnapped, who were murdered after torture later on.

Recently nearly four journalists were
killed in Khuzdar Baluchistan including General Secretary Khuzdar press club
Abdul Haq Baluch. Before that president Khuzdar press club Muhammad Khan Sasoli
was also brutally killed.

Engineer Jameel further said that in
his party viewpoint, media is an integral part of society which is mouth piece
of downtrodden but journalists in Pakistan are performing their duties in a
very bad and dangerous environment.
