Brief comment on The Pope

I'm likely one of a few Catholics on these discussion lists. My initial reaction to the new Pope is favorable. He's from this Hemisphere and has a reputation for consistently riding city buses in Argentina and readily mingling with "the folk." And I much like the fact that he's a Jesuit. On the whole, that Order is open to new ideas, frequently those with a social justice focus. (My personal Saint is Ignatius Loyola.)
